SOUND CAN SIZZLE


It can spark a fire within. Sound is power and you can use it to destroy or create.

Do you ever hum as you move through your day?

Or maybe when you’re driving in the car, or under the shower….or maybe it's singing....


For my sanity and wellbeing #soundplay is essential.


Do you know the power of Your sound to transform? Just 5 mins a day can have profound effects.

Jonathan and Andi Goldman have been working with and researching sound for decades and in their book, “The Humming Effect” they list many benefits of humming, including;

  • Increased oxygen in the cells—enhancing health and wellness.

  • Lowered blood pressure and heart rate

  • Increased lymphatic circulation—clearing toxins from the body

  • Increased levels of melatonin—a hormone that enhances sleep

  • Reduced levels of stress related hormones—enhancing health and wellness

  • Release of endorphins—self-created opiates that work as “natural pain relievers” & make us feel good

  • Increased levels of nitric oxide, (NO), a molecule associated with vasodilation and the promotion of healing

  • Release of oxytocin –the “love” hormone, creating trust between us.

Isn’t that amazing? I've joined a Qi Gong Plus class where we use sound every session but one day a week it's the focus. On that day we add humming or sound with every move and moments of stillness for around 40 mins. We are called to be present with the cosmic consciousness all the way through.

The results are phenomenal.

Every cell raises it’s vibrational frequency, I can feel it. My energy increases and expands, my physical body is lighter, stronger and more fluid, tingling. There are moments when the connection with Source is so strong tears of awe, wonder and gratitude leak from my eyes.

THE 5 MINUTE HUM CHALLENGE

  • RELAX! sit, lay or stand...whatever works for you

  • Set the timer for 5 minutes.

  • Put your lips together gently and mmmmmmmmmmm

  • Your tongue can be on the roof of your mouth, resting on your bottom teeth, or even poke it out a little and feel the buzz on your tongue!

  • Feel the vibrations inside your mouth, inside your nasal cavity, or in your cheeks

  • Don't worry about what the sound is like, it doesn’t matter what notes or tune you HUM,(as long as the tune is uplifting for you) just....

  • HUM!

  • You can move your body, let the juiciness flow.

  • Observe what changes in your body and mind. How does it feel?
